Job Profile: Management and Administration
Are you interested in working as a District Manager, as a Project Manager, or in Administrative Support for Metropolitan Building Services? Review this Job Profile to get a feeling for how our company operates and get an idea of what your day-to-day responsibilities would be.
Reviewing Accounts
Each account is individually reviewed on a daily basis for quality control. It is the District Manager who will interface with the building management or tenants to discuss any operational or administrative issues. These matters will then be discussed and followed-up with the Director of Operations and the President of the Company. The President continually reviews the entire operational staff and District Managers.
Respect for Employees
All employees are treated with the utmost respect. Employee empowerment comes from people wanting to come to work. On a quarterly basis, upper management meets at the building to talk with the entire cleaning staff. It is at this time that questions can be asked and suggestions be made that are always considered by management. We value our employees’ opinions, and know how vital they are to our operation.
Integrity
Integrity starts from the top down. It originates from ownership and filters down through the organization. We follow our code of ethics for building staffs. As part of training, we stress the importance of honesty and integrity. As for our administrative staff, we like to see complete accuracy in invoicing and accurate adjustments to an invoice if necessary.
Realizes No Inspection is 100% Effective
We realize that our inspections, although important, are never 100% effective. They cannot possibly catch everything, and we try not to judge ourselves solely on these objective evaluations. We also use quarterly audits, which evaluate our service based on tenants’ satisfaction.
Service Follow-Up
Follow-up is the key to a smooth-running operation. All calls to our office are returned immediately. Should we need to meet with a tenant, we will always be available that same day. When a major activity takes place in the building such as a move-in or a lobby refinishing, it will be checked on by both our Project Manager and District Manager.
Working With Field Employees to Ensure Design of Operation
From the moment we are awarded a new building, our management team is working with operations to make sure the design of the operation fits the building’s needs. The Supervisor is chosen based on the account’s requirements and the Supervisor’s history and qualifications. The equipment is ordered individually depending on which machine is best suited for each individual task.
Sets Goals of Satisfaction
Success is based on building a partnership with building management and the entire organization. This creates a cohesive existence between all the necessary parties that are servicing the account.
